Genial Grid(이하 "운영자")는 KAlive 앱(이하 "앱")을 운영합니다. 이 방침은 앱이 어떤 정보를 어떻게 다루는지 설명합니다.

1. 수집하는 개인정보

앱은 회원가입이나 로그인 기능이 없습니다. 운영자는 이용자의 이름, 연락처, 이메일, 위치 등 개인정보를 수집하지 않으며, 운영자의 서버로 보내지도 않습니다.

2. 휴대폰 안에만 저장되는 정보

앱을 쓰는 데 필요한 아래 정보는 이용자 휴대폰(앱 저장 공간) 안에만 저장되고, 운영자는 볼 수 없습니다.

학습 진행 기록(본 단원·단계, 오늘의 목표, 단어장의 알아요·몰라요 표시), 연속 학습 일수, 게임 최고 기록과 열린 단계, 즐겨찾기, 선택한 언어
회화 연습 기록(끝낸 장면과 여권 도장, 복습할 말, 표현별 복습 단계, 표현을 처음 본 날과 마지막으로 본 때, 연습한 날, 표현·대화 줄·받은 문자·상대 반응·그림 낱말을 처음 접한 날 — 두 번째부터 뜻을 숨기는 데 씁니다. 목소리 녹음이나 재생 기록은 남기지 않습니다)
타자 연습 기록(세션별 최고 타수와 그때의 정확도, 연습한 날). 친 글자 하나하나는 저장하지 않습니다.
화면 설정(듣기 속도, 뜻 함께 보기, 문장 글자로 보기, 첫 실행 안내를 봤는지 여부)
「문자 보내기」의 "내 정보"에 이용자가 직접 입력한 내용(이름, 학과, 학번, 사는 곳). 여권 번호나 외국인등록번호는 입력받지 않습니다.
「내 유학」에 이용자가 직접 입력한 내용: 체류자격, 체류기간 만료일, 처음 입국한 날, 외국인등록 여부, 건강보험 첫 고지서 달·납부 방식·월 보험료·월별 납부 표시, 학기별 평점·출석률, TOPIK 성적(시험 종류·시험일·총점·성적 발표일)과 다음 TOPIK 시험일·접수 마감일, 이사·출국 같은 생활 일정과 날짜, 아르바이트 정보(과정·학년, 한국어 능력 등급·점수, 근무처 별칭, 허가 여부·허가 끝나는 날, 날짜별 근무 시간). 외국인등록번호·여권 번호·주소·고용주 이름은 입력받지 않습니다.

홈 화면 위젯 — 위젯을 추가하면 회화 연습 진도와 마감까지 남은 날(D-day)이 휴대폰 홈 화면에 보입니다. 이 정보는 휴대폰 안에서만 계산·저장되며 서버로 보내지 않습니다. 위젯이 날짜를 계산할 수 있도록 회화 연습 진도, 건강보험 설정·월별 납부 표시, (비자 줄을 켠 경우) 체류기간 만료일, 위젯 줄 설정과 화면 언어를 휴대폰 안의 위젯 전용 저장 공간에 복사해 둡니다. 체류 만료 날짜·체류자격·금액은 위젯에 나오지 않습니다. 비자 줄은 처음에 꺼져 있고, 「설정 > 위젯」에서 줄마다 끄고 켤 수 있습니다. 마지막 KAlive 위젯을 지우면 위젯용으로 저장한 정보도 함께 지워집니다. 앱 안의 원래 기록(학습 기록, 「내 유학」 정보)은 그대로 남습니다.

또한 인터넷 없이도 쓸 수 있도록 앱 화면, 글꼴, 그림, 음성 파일을 휴대폰에 저장해 둡니다. 이것은 개인정보가 아닙니다.

「내 유학」의 "파일로 저장"을 누르면 이 정보가 이용자 휴대폰에 파일로 만들어지며, 이용자가 고른 곳으로만 공유됩니다. "캘린더에 추가"는 일정 파일을 만들어 이용자 휴대폰의 캘린더 앱에 넘깁니다. 운영자는 어느 경우에도 이 정보를 받지 않습니다.

(안드로이드 앱) 「폰 알림 켜기」를 누르면 알림 권한을 요청하고, 마감일 알림을 휴대폰 안에서만 예약합니다. 알림 내용(예: 체류기간 만료일)은 잠금 화면에 보일 수 있으며, 휴대폰 설정에서 끄거나 숨길 수 있습니다. 운영자는 이 정보를 받지 않습니다.

「문자 보내기」에서 보내기를 누르면 이용자가 입력한 내 정보가 들어간 문장이 이용자가 고른 앱(문자·메신저 등)으로 넘어갑니다. 그 뒤의 처리는 그 앱의 방침을 따릅니다.

앱 안에 저장된 정보는 앱 데이터를 지우거나 앱을 삭제하면 함께 지워집니다. 내보낸 백업 파일과 캘린더 일정은 저장한 곳에서 따로 지워야 합니다.

3. 앱을 받을 때 생기는 접속 기록

안드로이드 앱은 구글 플레이를 통해 설치·업데이트되며, 이 과정의 정보 처리는 구글의 방침을 따릅니다. 앱을 설치한 뒤에는 운영자 서버에 접속하지 않습니다.

4. 외부 사이트 링크

생활 정보의 출처 링크를 누르면 정부·공공기관 등 외부 사이트로 이동합니다. 외부 사이트의 개인정보 처리는 각 사이트의 방침을 따릅니다.

5. 광고와 결제

현재 버전에는 광고와 결제 기능이 없습니다. 앞으로 광고나 결제를 추가하면, 추가하기 전에 이 방침을 고치고 앱 안에서 알립니다.

6. 제3자 제공·처리 위탁

운영자는 이용자의 개인정보를 제3자에게 제공하거나 처리를 위탁하지 않습니다.

7. 앱 접근권한

필수 접근권한: 없음. 선택 접근권한: 알림(안드로이드 앱의 마감일 알림, 거부해도 다른 기능은 쓸 수 있음). 인터넷 연결은 앱 내용을 받거나 바깥 링크를 열 때만 씁니다.

8. 아동

앱은 대학에 다니는 외국인 유학생을 위한 앱이며, 만 14세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않습니다.

9. 방침 변경

이 방침을 바꾸면 이 페이지에 시행일과 함께 게시합니다.

KAlive (the "App") is operated by Genial Grid (the "Operator"). This policy explains what information the App handles and how.

1. Personal information we collect

The App has no sign-up or log-in. The Operator does not collect personal information such as your name, phone number, email or location, and the App does not send it to the Operator's servers.

2. Information stored only on your phone

The following information is stored only on your phone (in the App's storage). The Operator cannot see it.

Learning progress (units and steps viewed, today's goals, "know / don't know" marks in the word list), study streak, best game scores and unlocked levels, favorites and your chosen language
Speaking practice records (finished scenes and passport stamps, your review list, review level of each phrase, the day you first saw and the last time you saw each phrase, days practiced, and the day you first met each phrase, dialogue line, received message, reply and picture word — used to hide meanings from the second time on. No voice recordings or playback logs are kept)
Typing practice records (best typing speed for each session with its accuracy, days practiced). Individual keystrokes are not saved.
Display settings (listening speed, showing meanings, showing sentences as text, whether you have seen the first-run guide)
What you type into "My info" in "Send a text" (name, department, student ID, address). The App never asks for your passport number or alien registration number.
What you enter in "My Study in Korea": your status of stay, stay expiry date, first entry date, whether you have registered, health-insurance first bill month, payment method, monthly premium and paid months, GPA and attendance by semester, TOPIK results (test type, test date, total score, result release date) and your next TOPIK test date and registration deadline, life events such as moves or trips with their dates, and part-time work information (program and year, Korean test levels and scores, nicknames you give your workplaces, permit status and end dates, and daily working hours). The App never asks for your alien registration number, passport number, address or your employer's name.

Home screen widget — When you add the widget, your speaking practice progress and the days left until deadlines (D-day) appear on your phone's home screen. This information is calculated and stored only on your phone and is not sent to a server. So that the widget can count days, your speaking practice progress, health-insurance settings and paid months, your stay expiry date (only if you turn on the visa line), your widget line settings and app language are copied to storage on your phone used only by the widget. Your stay expiration date, visa type (status of stay), and amounts do not appear on the widget. The visa line is off at first, and you can turn each line on or off in "Settings > Widget." When you delete the last KAlive widget, the information saved for the widget is deleted too. The original records in the app (learning records and "My Study in Korea" information) stay as they are.

So that the App works without the internet, it also saves its screens, fonts, images and audio files on your phone. These are not personal information.

If you tap "Save my data as a file" in "My Study in Korea", a file is created on your phone and shared only where you choose. "Add to calendar" creates a calendar file and hands it to the calendar app on your phone. The Operator never receives this information.

(Android app) If you tap "Turn on phone notifications", the App asks for notification permission and schedules deadline reminders only on your phone. Reminder text (for example, your stay expiry date) may appear on the lock screen; you can turn it off or hide it in your phone settings. The Operator never receives this information.

In "Send a text", tapping send passes a message containing the "My info" you entered to the app you choose (SMS, messenger, etc.). That app's own policy applies after that.

Information stored in the App is deleted when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App. Backup files and calendar events you exported must be deleted where you saved them.

3. Access logs when the App is delivered

The Android app is installed and updated through Google Play, and Google's policy applies to that process. After installation, the App does not connect to the Operator's servers.

4. Links to other websites

Source links in the life-information section open external websites such as government and public agencies. Their own privacy policies apply there.

5. Ads and payments

This version has no ads and no payments. If we add ads or payments, we will update this policy and tell you in the App before they are added.

6. Sharing with third parties and outsourcing

The Operator does not share your personal information with third parties or outsource its processing.

7. App permissions

Required permissions: none. Optional permission: notifications (deadline reminders in the Android app; the other features work if you decline). The internet is used only to download app content or open external links.

8. Children

The App is made for international university students and is not directed to children under 14.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will post it on this page with a new effective date.
